[Koha] Full call number not updated automatically in the items of a marc record after editing that marc record's item number

Hi

I have a marc record with attached items. I needed to change the item call
number in the tag 082 b ( Dewey Decimal calssification item number). I
expect to see the changes to be updated in all the items of the marc record
in their autogenerated full call number field.
But this does not happen.
Can this be done in Koha or do we have to update all the items manually?
Please help.
