[Koha] Thanks & question re: special character

Hello,
First I would like to say thanks to Savitra and Greg for responding to my question this week about relevance ranking.  Savitra's suggestion to disable sys pref QueryAutoTruncate made a big difference.  Search results are much better since I followed that advice!

Here is something I just now (!) came across.  I have 919 records with ampersands that render in HTML code, "&".  Does this require that I fix all 919 records or is there an easier database-level solution?  I really cannot believe I did not notice this before now : /  My tech support specialist wonders whether it is a reserved character in Koha, but I do not know.
