My library has considered this possibility, but it doesn't seem
feasible. If you have one email message that is sent to all patrons,
but some patrons are getting a message via the email->sms gateway
service, how do you compose such a message? A full message appropriate
for a regular email client will have far more characters than you
could send via sms. A "tweet-sized" notice might work for the sms
folks, but be uninformative for the standard email users.
