Whoops
"Liblime purchased all copyrights to
the Koha code and marks that Katipo used to own"
ok that being so... it changes things!
remember most of my time here was before KOHA even was mark record
complaint and certainly before lib-lime even existed! I remember people in
France & UK not even wanting LC system in Koha... guess that got straightened
out eh we have both dewey and lc!
I wandered onto other projects shortly after I offered the suggestion to
use google methodology as the search method.. and as far as I know that
was implemented.
Pat (?) In Utah was the kati ki whatever ya call it. I sporadically
monitor the list.... but a possible logo war got my attention!
What have I done in the meantime? still museum stuff but also filmaking
news shooting won an Emmy (R) Award in 07. Life is GOOD! getting old is
a bit creaky but expected!
Still waiting for Koha to run on shared hosting with out any special
necessities.. due to the cheap cost of hosting and large amounts of storage
available these days I did not want to baby sit servers any longer so
years back went to offsite servers. Makes it nice when you are on vacation if
there is an outage you just call up and prod them!

That is quite a statement to make. Just because the source code is
open source does not mean the Koha trademarks are. Do you think
someone else should be able to make another ILS and call it Koha just
because they can? Liblime is a primary contributor to Koha and has
registered the Koha trademark in the US to prevent its dilution, the
same goes for Biblibre in France. Liblime purchased all copyrights to
the Koha code and marks that Katipo used to own, if I have my history
correct. I don't think you understand how Open Source works all that
well.
