okay, thanks for your interest: here are a few samples... there were many
more, as we tried a lot of things on our own before whining for help ;)

apt-get install yaz

yaz is already the newest version.
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
idzebra-2.0: Depends: idzebra-2.0-common but it is not going to be
installed
Depends: libidzebra-2.0-dev but it is not installable
Depends: idzebra-2.0-utils (= 2.0.36-1) but it is not
installable
Depends: libidzebra-2.0-modules but it is not installable
Depends: idzebra-2.0-doc but it is not going to be installed
yaz: Depends: libyaz3 (>= 3.0.5) but it is not installable
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify
a solution).

apt-get install idzebra-2.0-common libidzebra-2.0-dev idzebra-2.0-utils
libidzebra-2.0-modules idzebra-2.0-doc

Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package libidzebra-2.0-dev is not available, but is referred to by another
package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package libidzebra-2.0-dev has no installation candidate

so there are the last 5 or so attempts... any thoughts?
