[Koha] Migration from Follett to Koha 3

The original records didn’t have a location/branch code because this branch was the only library in the DB. So, I added subfield $a to field 852 and swapped 852 with 952 through MarcEdit. The weird thing is it isn’t all of the books but is about half that are having this issue.

 

When I do a search on say Sports it list for me all the records that have the word sports attached to it. In the Location column the ones that are missing the info give me the following info:

 

1 item

1 available: 

*	(1)

 

 

But the ones that have the info look like this:

 

2 items

2 available: 

*	Solanco High School (1)

 

 

I have confirm in the DB that field 952 $a has the correct info for the records that are missing the info.

Did you define the branch with a branchcode that matches the itemdata?  If not the result is predictable, since the foreign key relationship on branchcode would be violated.

Good Morning All

 

Has anyone come across an issue when you import your Follett catalog export in Koha 3 a large number of your holdings info doesn’t get imported? I double checked Follett and the info is there and there is a bibliography record in Koha just no entry in the items table.

 

Any ideas?
