[Koha] Scanning Barcodes

Hi

We are able to scan barcodes printed on books using a barcode scanner however unable to scan barcodes generated by Koha via label/patron creator.
Is this a known issue or is there a config setting that I should check?
Or is there a workaround for this issue?
