[Koha] KOHA 3.0 at Portuguese Administration

Dear list members,

I have the pleasure to announce that we have suceed installing the  
first 3.0 KOHA version in Portugal at Prospective Planning and  
Internacional Affaires Department an agency of Environment Ministry.

After several years with another system (SIRTEX from Software AG  
running on ADABAS) last year they participate on a training workshop  
about Free Software for Libraries and decided to convert near 35.000  
biliographic records ad more than 25.000 authority records to KOHA,  
using UNIMARC flavour.
Meanwhile they converted  manually all subscriptions issues with the  
help of  some scripts to import  items which allowed to do it quickly.

This is the second KOHA instalation, after Informatics Institute,  
which give make us to believe that more departments will join.
