Joe is completely right about getting DNS to work. Here's some more, as i used to face the same issue:

When you start Apache up, do you get a message such as "hostname not found" or "127.0.0.1" not found. You need to set a proper hostname for your machine, and add that using the ServerName directive within the Apache configuration (httpd.conf?) file

There are two parts to the problem:
referencing the Koha system on your network, andKoha catching the requests.
Does your Koha system have a legitimate DNS name?  If not then you will have to reference it by IP address.  This might be a real IP or (on your LAN) an internal IP.  


If you access by IP and get the generic "It works!" page, then your Koha apache is not catching the request, perhaps because you have NameVirtualHost listening on a domain name or different IP.  

Please note, these are really Apache configuration issues, and not specific to Koha.  So the Apache documentation will be more useful in your troubleshooting.
