[Koha] About patron password strength

Hello,

i am aware of the system preference that allows specifying a minimum length for patron passwords.

i haven't dived into the code yet, but if someone that knows can save me some time: Perhaps Koha uses a regular expression of some kind that can just as easily be modified to also require, for example, some combination of symbols, digits and mix of lower and uppercase alphabets?

i am sure that some such customization probably needs a good amount of testing and is not easily exposed as a configurable system preference just yet.

Please give me your knowledge and thoughts.
