[Koha] koha alpha 3.0 Install

I'm trying to install koha 3.0 alpha on Debian Etch i386 with mysql 5.0.32

I'm following the instruction files (I think).

My problem; when I run make test I get an error that koha.systempreferences 
doesn't exist and also other mysql tables. When I look for mysql tables in 
my database, the database is there, but no tables. I don't understand when 
and where the tables get created?

Help would be appreciated.
