[Koha] Fines Generation

Hello,

I'm in the process of setting up fines in Koha and i
have a few questions

1. if i set the max fines line in fines2.pl, do i need
to make other changes elsewhere?

2. if the fines2.pl is run more than once a day, ( i
plan to let cron run this at system startup. here in
nigeria power failure is quite common) does this
affect fines due?
