Hi,

Make sure you have set the password for the MySQL's root user. Keep in mind that Koha is not yet suitable for MySQL 5, due to the new reserved words MySQL defined.

helped.

How can I use this server?

(The solution would be editing /etc/hosts and changing localhost
to 127.0.0.2 which is _really_ ugly.)
