[Koha] It's broke

dont know where to begin, so, lets try at the
beginning:

Koha 2.2.0, running on freebsd 4.11-stable.  Apache
1.3.33.  Mysql 4.0.24.

Koha is up and running.  This is a desktop-only
installation, a development install, to see if koha
will work for my church library of about 3,000 items. 
I want to get this thing up and running fully--soon,
so I can demo it to the librarian ladies and the tech
committee.  

I have data in the database, see that by accessing the
database directly.  But, when I search for a book, I
get an apache 500 error, like this:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete your
request.

Please contact the server administrator,
kdagee2 at yahoo.com and inform them of the time the
error occurred, and anything you might have done that
may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in
the server error log.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at enterprise Port 8080

I can send output from logs, just tell me what you
guys want.
