Anna, Talia, and other interested Koha-ites,

In his query last week about printing new acq reports, David Bucknell had
asked also about Koha having a 'link' for book cover/jacket image, as is
sometimes available in other ILS.

I replied, noting that I had asked a similar question of Paul earlier this
year, in the context of having a link to a jpeg via an MARC21 856 tag, and
that the upshot of the answer was 'no, not now, not high priority'.

Having had time to check through my personal archive today, I have not
found a reply to my original question about including a bookcover pic in
the basic Koha display, which probably means that Paul was simply too busy
at the time and the original question has remained unanswered as far as I
know. If I find a reply hiding somewhere, I'll forward it to you.

Anyway, for those who were interested, this was Paul's reply to the second
attempt. Please note that a solution to this would give you an effective
means of linking to a jpeg/gif of whatever cover image you would want to
include:

Not for 2.0.0, but should be in 2.0.1
How to do it :
* add mapping functions between websites & MARC parameters
* in biblio view, when displaying a subfield => look if the subfield is
mapped to websites.url. If it is => print <a>title</a> and not title.

Less than 1 day for me. probably much more for someone else.
I add an entry in bugzilla immediatly
