[Koha] just installed 2.0.0 pre3 and trying to get z3950 search working

Hello,

I have just intalled Koha 2.0.0pre3 and try to go to do a z3950 search from the acquisitions section. When I click on the z3950 search link, I get errors on the page.  Here is the line from the source template:

        newin=window.open("../z3950/search.pl?bibid=<TMPL_VAR name="bibid">"+strQuery,"z3950 search",'width=500,height=400,toolbar=false,scrollbars=yes');

I have attempted to make some minor changes to this but have not been able to resolve the problem.  I get notified that there are errors on the page when I click the search link.  These errors are either bad argument, or object expected.

Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem may be?
