with 2.0.0 just behind the door (2.0.0pre2 is for today or tomorrow), 
that is full MARC compliant, i think that trying to install a 1.2.3 with 
MARC data is a bad idea.
Anyway, i'm 2.0 release manager and can't help you with 1.2.3, sorry
