Is some sort of data auditing facility available in these packages to say
"these records are incomplete"? In dealing with migrating legacy data
into relational databases I've had to write these sorts of auditing
scripts to gradually clean up the old data. Sometimes this is before
loading into the relational system, but often it happens after it's
loaded. A flag that says "this record is incomplete" or simply a series
of checks "if x then problem" have been effective if the users are
motivated to clean up the data problems found in the audit.
