[Koha] installation help for newbie

Hi,
I just installed koha and opac on a Red Hat 7.2 server with mysql.

I set up the database.

I made an alias to /koha and another to opac 

and put both in /usr/local/share/opac/htdocs
and /usr/local/share/koha/htdocs

I used the apache cgi-bin and put the koha scripts in there 

I put the C4 dir in  the site_perl path (below it, actually)

In short, I _sort of_ followed the directions.

Now the Web sites work, the search engine _tries to work_, but none of the links
to acquisitions, etc work. 

Guesses so I can ask the right question?
