Dear Professional Colleagues

AOA

i feel pleasure to share with all of you that we have implemented KOHA 3.4.1 at School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME) Library, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). We have also configured it with LOC Z3950 gateway which can be accessed through

test html page http://loc.gov/z3950/test.html by entering IP 111.68.97.5 and port 9995  and database name biblios and search in title.

NUST is the first University in Pakistan who has configured KOHA on Library of Congress(LOC) Z3950 gateway

I am thankful to all our Paklag Team (specially Hafiz Aamir Rasul) and our IT staff at NUST for their generous and personal support.

cheers

On the accommodation site:

http://kohacon11.vpmthane.org/ocs/index.php/k/k11/schedConf/accommodation

it says "Don't rush to book on the hotels site. We are trying for bulk
booking and discounts"

I'm starting to think about sorting accommodation soon, has this
happened yet? What places are other people staying at (who are more
prepared than I)? What are some suggestions that are within a good
distance of the venue?

We may soon start following the new CONSER serial record guidelines.

I have this problem with koha 3.4. I don't think it's to do with file
permissions, but rather apache configuration. Does anyone have an idea how
this could be fixed?

I get this when trying to acces koha 3.4.4 with browser:

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an
ErrorDocument to handle the request."

This is what the koha-error.log says:

[Wed Sep 07 05:58:20 2011] [error] [client nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn] client denied by
server configuration: /usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/
[Wed Sep 07 05:58:20 2011] [error] [client nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn] client denied by
server configuration: /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/errors/403.pl

I think it's a problem with apache configuration, but how do I fix it?

It looks like your apache configuration. If you were to include your configuration in your email, then we might be able to give you suggestions, otherwise there's not much we can say that's useful.
