<p class=MsoPlainText>Hi, Lenora et al!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>I am very interested in an ILL module too - having worked
as an ILL<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>librarian for several years it's one of the very few
things that stand<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>out as "missing" in Koha, in my eyes. I also
think that Norwegian<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>librarians are used to having this functionality
integrated into their<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>ILS, as opposed to et least some other countries, where I
understand<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>that the norm is to deal with this functionality outside
of the ILS.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Unfortunately, here in Norway we have our very own ILL
standard or<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>protocol, called NILL, which is documented, in Norwegian
only, here:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>http://www.biblev.no/nill/<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Basically the protocol consists of a set of XML messages
that are<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>passed between systems over e-mail(!).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Now, NILL may or may not be of interest to libraries
outside Norway,<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>but I am thinking that at least some functionality will
be of common<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>interest, and that there could be a choice of different
protocols, or<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>an easy way to adapt the core functionality to different
protocols.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>I am but a tiny vendor trying to attract my first
customers, but I<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>certainly hope to be able to find a library that could be
interested<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>enough in Koha to be willing to sponsor some work on ILL
and NILL. In<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>the meantime I am more than willing to contribute time
and any<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>knowledge on the subject that I may have, in order to
help Koha get an<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>ILL module up and running.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoPlainText>Hi all,<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>We have been thinking about developing Interlibrary loans
for Koha. We <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>have a couple of prospective customers that are currently
using ILL on <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>their existing systems and a few customers who are likely
to be <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>interested. We have not worked out a spec yet or the
funding, but have <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>been discussing doing so.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Folks here developed the Interlibrary Loans for Unicorn
in the UK so we <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>have some experience of developing this and understanding
the workflow. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>That was done with the Unicorn API and without access to
the source <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>code, so it can only be easier on Koha. The UK libraries
make much use <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>of the British Library Document Supply Service but also
often interlend <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>between institutions. Both of these are often required
or highly <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>desirable by UK libraries.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>

<p class=MsoPlainText>In the UK, about 80-90% of requests go via the British
Library. They use <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>a format called ARTTel (it's a plain text format, pretty
basic). There <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>is a call for some other formats though, mainly a generic
type letter <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>and also the BMA (British Medical Association). ISOILL
never really <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>kicked off and we don't really hear of any call for this.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>I think, ideally, something where you could plugin extra
formats would <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>be ideal so that they could be added to on a regional
basis or as the <o:p></o:p></p>

formats.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoPlainText>hi all, i have our system (Koha 3.0) set to email the
Librarian when a hold is placed, however i can't find where to define the email
address it should use. this is separate form the "system
notifications" email address defined in the system preferences. i'm sure
it's user error here ... does anyone have any idea what i need to do.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>thanks in advance!<o:p></o:p></p>
