Hello Joe

This may not be related, but we also have a problem with rebuild_zebra
-z option. In our case I searched for about 10 MARC records through the
Z39.50 client, added item data, and saved them. They all arrived in the
zebraqueue table, ready for indexing. Cron ran zebra_rebuild with the
-z option, and processed some, but not all of the records in the queue.
There is no error message, and Galen's suggestion of using the -v
verbose option does not run at all on our version.
Rebuild_zebra reports the number of records it has processed - and it
reports 0 when we think it should have indexed one. There seems to be a
slight problem with rebuild_zebra not counting correctly anyway, but in
this case it also does not update the flag in zebraqueue, to indicate
that record has been processed.
So, you could check whether zebra reported any records processed, and
also look at the zebraqueue table to see whether those 13 records have
entries there.

By the way, when we ran a full reindex, those records indexed perfectly
well. We are baffled as to why the full reindex process can index them,
but chooses to ignore some records when run in update mode. For the
moment we can always schedule a full reindex every night to catch up
with any that the -z option missed.

Sorry we are not able to shed much light.

Our cataloger staged and then imported 13 MARC records. Their status is
"imported" and they all were assigned bib numbers. I ran (as root)
'rebuild_zebra.pl -b -a -z' (like the crontab.example file), which finished
without an error, but searches for those titles retrieve zero results. Can
anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
