Please see the Debian packaging page of the wiki. Vincent has been leading the work in this area, but there is still some way to go. It is true though that my professional attentions are directed elsewhere by client sponsorship, and that nobody has undertaken to sponsor finishing the debian package.<br>

Just wondering if a Koha Debian package is being worked on? I believe<br>
that once that is available, proliferation of Koha installations will<br>
balloon. I have installed it a few times, but difficulty in installing<br>
it for a person not familiar with system administration is probably the<br>
leading cause that more are not trying it out.<br>

At the same time, I realize that Koha is being under development for<br>
quite some and there still is no Debian package. Any particular reason<br>
for this? Are the various new perl modules needed which are not in<br>
Debian repos a big reason? Or is it just the want of developers doing<br>
the task? I hope the commercial aspect of Koha is not an impediment to this.<br>
