[Koha] Stop Acquisition & Suggestion Module Notices

As an aside, we have been delighted with the flexibility of the Suggestions Management functionality. No staff at our 6 college libraries have access to Koha Acquisitions but they can place orders on only one vendor platform and that ordering is EDI-driven. So they can accept or reject **some** purchase suggestions. But others need to be passed by the librarians to our central ordering and cataloguing staff to decide. These staff can order items from any vendor using Koha acquisitions. These staff can also accept or reject, and we have set up new authorised values for SUGGEST_STATUS for these different types of acceptance or rejection. We then set up new Notices with the notice code matching the new SUGGEST_STATUS values. So where the librarian makes the decision, the student receives the normal notice (ACCEPTED, REJECTED) but where the central staff member makes the decision, the librarian who asked for help receives the response using the new notices, using staff-appropriate text. Rather nice!

Dear Kartrin,
Thank you very much for your reply.
If I want to use them at a later stage, can I just add a new notice with the specific letter codes of 'ACCEPTED', 'ORDERED', etc and specific Module of 'Suggestions' and they will start working??
With best regards,

Hi Naveen,
at the moment the only option to avoid sending suggestion emails is to delete them from notices and slips.
Hope this helps,
Katrin
