If the extra 00s match a consistent and identifiable pattern, then this is
exactly what MARC Modification templates
<https://bywatersolutions.com/education/monday-minutes-marc-modification-templates>
are for. Create a modification template that removes the 00s from the
problem field, then run it over the affected records.
