[Koha] Cataloging

We r using koha v 17.11. Now we r facing problem on cataloging - after items add in, the script related ../usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/cataloguing/additem.pl process like never ending.  The server run for hours even cataloging ended/finished. Due to that server getting slower bc ram increase tremendously and goes up to maximum.  Pls share the ways or idea to get rid of this matter.
