[Koha] Suppressing columns in "checkouts" table

Hello,

Is there a way to suppress some of the columns in the "checkouts" table?
Since we only have one library, columns like "Home Library" and "Checked
out from" are redundant.

I can see how to do it "on the fly"; I am looking for a permanent/global
setting. Any pointers?
