Hi all,
A brief question. Would anyone be willing to share with me a ballpark figure (in GBs) on the server storage space requirement for a Koha library with the following parameters in mind:
1. Koha 3.22 (Koha + LAMP software + Unix environment updated to current)
2. Library:
a. 60,000 bibliographic records
b. 70,000 item records
c. 1000 borrower records
d. Loan transactions (1 year to date): 4500
e. Authorities: 0
3. Annual average growth in biblio: 3500 records
I do realize that one's koha configuration, cataloguing policies, LAMP environment, etc. all influence storage capacity (i.e., using the images table, etc.). I just need a ballpark for a proposal with the above in mind.
On a related note, has anyone calculated the average "unit size" of, say, a monograph record in Koha (biblio + item + image + name authority) for their instance?
On my personal instance of Koha (3.22, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, etc.) - which runs on a dedicated server (nothing else running), my library stands at about 250 works, with approx. 330 volumes. Used server storage is about 9.5 gigs, at present.
Thanks all!
