You are probably using the koha superlibrarian (admin) user id and
password created during installation. If you do that, you will need to
assign the Library name everytime. This is a feature, not a bug.

Try creating a librarian user and assign that user to *your* single
branch library. When you login with that user, you should see your
library being set by default.
