Dagne,
the problem is not the language of the books, but the language you prefer to
use in the web interface.

As you can see on http://translate.koha-community.org/am/310/,
Amharic language translation is almost non-existent.

But if you can use another language for the interface, then the answer is
yes,
Koha can catalog books written in any language.
