[Koha] Consortia, what's the best way to set them up?

Thanks for the pointer, it seems to work more or less as expected.  I
just set up a couple branches and a group on our test site.
In retrospect, I think we should have thought  this through more
carefully before we chose the url (catalogue.efdss.org), but that can
be fixed with aliases.
The groups feature seems especially useful if you want to limit your
search by geography, or perhaps specialization.
It will be interesting to see how independent these branches can be,
as we are dealing with very independent organizations. I know for
certain there will be objections to having our logo and colour scheme
all over their catalogue (the site has been 'skinned' by an outside
marketing company).
But all this came about as an after thought, as we began to understood
how powerful Koha is, and it's an exciting prospect, if a rather low
priority at the moment.  Still, it has great potential in bringing
information together, which is what it's all about in the long run.
