Abdul,

We have several such instances running; it's very simple.  During the 
installation process, when the Makefile.PL script asks you where the 
database host is located, (the default is 'localhost'), just give it the 
DNS name or IP address of the server where your MySQL DB is running.

In the case of an already running instance, you just need to edit the 
<host> entry in the KOHA_CONF file.  Either way, very simple.
