Speaking as a hosting and services provider, please don't worry on
that last point. Hiring a Koha hosting provider or rolling your own
always comes down to a cost vs. level of availability needed vs. your
budget vs. what you're able to do on your own equation. It's a feature
not a bug. There's lot of different permutations that make sense for
different libraries and those often change over time.
One option you might consider is low cost rented "raw machine plus
connectivity" services such as--

Which you then install and manage Koha yourself upon.
