[Koha] Problem installing git

Hi,
I installed a Debian using the netinst CD.
"apt-get install mysql-server" was successfull, while "apt-get install git" seems to work (it declares to install git and gnuit), but git is not installed. "which git" and "locate git" do not report any useful information. Repeating "apt-get install git" says that the latest version of git is installed.
How can I solve this?
