[Koha] Searching for subjects

  Good evening all,

When I search on boy as a subject in the catalog, it comes back saying

*No Result found !*

in %s Catalogue. "boyBSSD" in Bering Strait School Distric Library Catalogue.

I haven't been able to find anything in my catalog and I am not sure if it is adding the 
BSSD(The holding branch code) to the boy before searching.  Has anyone had a problem like this 
and found and answer.
