[Koha] searching is not working

Have you checked that 'hidelostitems' and 'opacsuppression' are set  
correctly? If you have these turned on, but don't have any bibs/items  
marked as lost or suppressed respectively, they will cause opac searches to  
fail; Zebra can't search on an empty index. See here for a nice explanation  
from Nicole about setting up 'opacsuppression':  
http://lists.koha.org/pipermail/koha-devel/2009-March/009321.html. 'hidelostitems'  
causes the same search failure.

I hope I've answered your question correctly even though I'm not sure I  
fully understand your error messages as the symptoms you describe are  
similar to those I've seen on my system :-)
