I wonder if it would be asking too much for PTFS for put in place
relevant email forwards for the lists to the new server.

Also, I note the following in my own email client:

  * Koha list is currently koha at lists.katipo.co.nz, so I presume
    that I do not need to change it; i.e. that one will always forward
    to the correct/current list server.

  * Koha Developers is currently koha-devel at lists.koha.org, so I
    presume I will have to change that one in my address book.
