[Koha] Anonymizing circulation history at patron-level?

I find this whole issue so culturally at odds with the way we think here
in NZ. Our patrons LOVE that their reading history is saved and they can
access it anytime and sort it and whatever. I can't imagine living in a
society where you would even consider that your reading record was not
private.
Ah the joys of living at the end of the world where no one is interested
in you :)
