[Koha] I'm also using Koha for teaching in Lib school

Hi everyone,

I'm catching up on the mailing list and was happy to see Shirley Lew message about using both Koha & Evergreen for teaching library automation at the UBC Library School.

I'm currently teaching "Managing Technologies in Libraries" at the Université de Montréal Lib. School. It's the only ALA-accredited program that gives an MIS in french. (École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l'information - EBSI) 

After spending 2 classes talking about what's an ILS, students get access to Koha and have to do some "real" library task with the system. Actually, Eric Begin and inLibro have been offering Koha to EBSI students for the last 4 years. Nice opportunity for students to get access to an ILS.


BTW, I've also been working for inLibro as a librarian for the last month. I'll try to be more active on the list as soon as I get accustomed to Koha.
