If not, then in a comma delimited file or other standard DB format. Terry Reese at Oregon State University has created a tool called MarcEdit that you can use to manipulate the records and convert them from the Liberty3 output to the proper Marc format for Koha. His home page is here: http://people.oregonstate.edu/~reeset/marcedit/html/index.php . Pay particular attention to getting the item info into the default location for Koha - the 952 part of the record. That is probably not where it will export from your old system. See the MarcEdit doc for particulars on how to use it. Take a look at the Koha doc section 1.4 for information about Bibliographic Frameworks and the Koha to Marc mapping, and sections 2.9 and 2.10 for info on how to import your Marc records once you have them ready u

Take a look at the documentation for detailed info on your options there. Section 13 contains an implementation checklist that will walk you through the necessary steps. In fact you should familiarize yourself in general with the documentation on the koha-community.org site, it will probably answer most of your questions.

Hi All
We at Catalyst have done some liberty migrations and have a couple more
to do in the new year.
Robin has done most of the work, so I'll let him answer in more depth.
One of the things we have found is that although there is an option to
export MARC in Liberty, it seems you have to pay extra to have that
turned on.
However you can get the data out in csv format and that can be converted
to MARC in a variety of ways. (We use a script that is in Koha that
converts csv to MARC21) MarcEdit is another option.
