[Koha] shelf browser not working

When I first started working on Koha last year, I noticed this
problem for one of our clients.  In our case, it had to with the
the items.location field being NULL.  The outcome was the SQL
query would not return any results.  At any rate, I wrote a patch
for it, although I don't have the commit hash number.
