Ed, I suspect this would be a fairly complicated change to make. When
dealing with extended attributes you're not dealing with a fixed
target: you can have as many custom attributes as you want. How would
the interface know which one to pull? Unless you set up a separate
preference for it you're left hard-coding it into your script and
template
