[Koha] Need help on Koha

hi,

i went through the Koha Manual..however i still have some questions to
clarify.

i created two patrons..one is staff(super librarian) and another is
student(only can borrow book) with OPAC logon

add a book record.

logon to opac using student account..but i dont knwo how to borrow the
book....only got option to "place a hold"

can someone briefly explain how to borrow/return a book?
