[Koha] Issues while installig Koha 3.00 on redhat 5.0 linux

Uma,

The warnings from perl Makefile.pl look ominous, so i am not sure you should proceed.

You can directly supply a URL to a CPAN mirror using the below. i am assuming you are doing this at the 'cpan' prompt.
cpan> o conf urllist <yourChosenURL>

For e.g., choose a URL from http://cpan.org/SITES.html
Then,
cpan> o conf urllist http://www.perl.com/CPAN/

i am not sure if Yahoo will convert the above into some hyperlinked text, so please type it out again or choose your own URL from the list of mirrors.

Also, the prompt accepts commands of the form 'shift' or 'unshift' (its a data structure) to add and remove URLs to the list of URLs.

You can basically experiment by doing
cpan> o conf urllist shift <anotherURL>

then, display the value of urllist by

cpan> o conf urllist

and so on, similarly for unshift. Don't worry, at any time, you can reset the value of urllist and start over!

When i am installing CPAN i have given the Proxy but i am getting the following error

Select your continent (or several nearby continents) [] 4
invalid items entered, try again

I have entered 'ASIA' and 4 but this is not taking any option.

Also when i running the perl Makefile.PL for Koha 3.00 i am getting the following

[Mon Jan 12 16:25:14 2009] Makefile.PL: Warning: prerequisite PDF::API2::Util 2 not found.
[Mon Jan 12 16:25:14 2009] Makefile.PL: Warning: prerequisite POE 0.9999 not found.


Please advise, can i go for the installatioin with the above Warnings or is it going to effect.
