Dear colegues,

I have been using CDS/ISIS for years and exported near 30.000 records to KOHA without any problem nor using any other tool.
The only problem could be on UTF-8 caracteres related with diacritics.
Regards,

Rafael Antonio

> Dear Friends,
>
> I just prepared a documentation for the migration of bibliographic records in CDS/ISIS to MARC-21 using MarcEdit software.
> Many libraries are still using CDS/ISIS  for record management and would like to convert their records to open source ILS like Koha.
> This document focuses on the conversion of CDS/ISIS data to MARC-21 for Koha.
> Migration from CDS/ISIS to MARC was not easy before. Certain useful scripts are now available for data migration between CDS/ISIS and Koha.
> Such processes are highly technical and not affordable for the library professionals who are not tech savvy.
> I hope that, this documentation will be helpful to convert your records from CDS/ISIS to Koha (ver. 3) open source ILS.
>
> I extent my thanks to Mr. Sandeep Bhavsar, Librarian, Dr.V.N.Bedekar Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, who inspired me to write this documentation.
> I also extent my thanks to Mr. Amit Gupta, OSS Labs for editing this document.
>
> I expect your valuable feed back to enhance the usability of this document.
