Hi Twinamatsiko,
Are you trying to understand how cataloguing works?
Cataloguers are professionals and their skills are highly technical and very
sought after.
You might want to read a book like: ""Computers in libraries : an
introduction for library technicians" by Katie Wilson. ISBN: 9780789021519
Although the title includes the word computers, you would gain an
understanding of library operations and the standards and protocols that
guide much of what we do in libraries.
This book is easy to read, only a small book and written by a very skilled
systems librarian.
Cheerio,
Irma
