[Koha] Embedding google analytics javascript

i'd like to use Google analytics to track visitors to OPAC for our library on the internet.

This requires embedding a small snippet of javascript.

i know there's a system preference available (System > OPAC > opacuserjs) where i can insert the snippet.

Is that the recommended route? Or should i manually insert this into opac-main.pl or some such page that typically "includes" all the other content

i ask because i don' think i need the script on each and every page.

Thanks and regards,
