Ours has three drop-down menus with month, day, and year.
Thanks for the help!

In your installation is the date due chooser a popup calendar widget,
or is it a set of three drop-down menus with month, day, year?

There are some instructions for upgrading on the wiki, but they don't
seem to be aimed at less-than-expert users:
http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=22_to_30
Everything is stored in MySQL, so backing up the database should be
enough to safeguard your data. But I'm not the installation/upgrade
expert, so you may need to go back to the mailing list for advice on
how to prepare for a safe upgrade.
