[Koha] Lost items display

If I have the hidelostitems system preference set to ON or select 'Limit 
to currently available items' in the OPAC, I get no results.  I need to 
have hidelostitems set to OFF to get any results in an OPAC search.  I 
have authorized values set for LOST and the lost itmes report seems to 
be working with these values.
