Yes, zebra-biblios.cfg is correct.  For this case, in my file it would be
line 49:
shadow: /whatever/dir/biblios/shadow:4G

I assume you made that 6G or something similar.  And you are right, you
would need to restart zebra, like:
misc/bin/koha-zebra-ctl.sh restart

It sounds like you are pretty close to completion.
